Roller Floating Suction Line
For use beneath a steel or aluminium Internal Floating Roof (IFR), this suction line type is fitted with a roller which runs along the underside of the floating roof. In the case of a steel IFR no special track is required as the roller can negotiate plate overlaps – when used with an aluminium IFR, a track must be added beneath for the roller to run on. Matrix Applied Technologies can design an appropriate suction line track and provide the extra buoyancy required when retrofitting to an aluminium or stainless steel IFR.
Matrix Applied Technologies roller floating suction lines feature the unique zero-maintenance ‘SwingMaster’ joint – the ideal choice for floating suction lines. Constructed in rugged cast iron/ductile iron with plain Ni-Resist bearings (copper free) as standard, the SwingMaster is also available as a 100% stainless casting if required. The SwingMaster is internally & externally epoxy painted for Jet A1 service and available in sizes from 6” through to 42” as standard with other sizes available on application.
The SwingMaster is self-lubricating and maintenance-free, making it far superior to other swivels which can seize when installed or maintained poorly – a common problem with equipment from some manufacturers.
