Assentech is leading the way by participating in the development of international standards including a new environmental annexe. This is to guide operators and engineering companies in use of best available techniques, Correctly sized, specified and maintained devices minimise vapour losses and reduce the presence of oxygen/condensation in the tank. This protects staff and the public from the long term effects of vapour inhalation, fire and explosions, corrosion and damage to the environment by harmful GWP (Global Warming Potential) emissions while maximising quality and profitability for the operator.
We are on a mission to raise the standard in tank venting. With 9 out of 10 manufacturers not conducting individual leak testing in accordance with the recommendations of the API2000 Standard, there is a lot of room for improvement. Our Vent-Less test benches use artificial intelligence to record optimum valve functional efficiency, leakage rate and performance. Certification is irrefutable and can be used to support ESG compliance and a route to net zero. The ‘Vent-Less Approved’ label on a valve is a guarantee that the device has been serviced following a detailed written scheme of examination and evaluated by Vent-Less.
